In the weekend of 12, 13 and 14th of February the National Selection Conference will be held in Amsterdam. This is only four weeks away and preperations are in full swing.

Rosa Douw is head-organiser and the session president will be Fredrik Bauer from Sweden. We are proud to announce that Marietje Schaake, Member of the European Parliament for D66, will be Guest Speaker at the Opening Ceremony of General Assembly.

The Amsterdam Preliminary Rounds were a great success. There were debates on high level, passionate speeches and great games played by the delegates.

The host of this session, Barlaeus Gymnasium, streamed the GA online on Sunday, which allowed parents and other interested viewers to watch how the delegates did throughout the day. Two days of intensive icebreaking, committee work and debating in general assembly showed great enthusiasm and motivation from the fifty delegates who participated in these sessions.

The European Youth Parliament the Netherlands selected Ignatius Gymnasium Amsterdam, Barlaeus Gymnasium Amsterdam and the Mencia de Mendoza lyceum Breda for participation in the National Selection Conference 2010 in Amsterdam, which will be held in the weekend of 12 till the 14th  of February. After a short summer break EYP The Netherlands would like to announce that season 08/09 has started. This year EYP NL will host an extra preliminary session, the National Conference will have some new features including several international delegations to give it the international touch and above all EYP The Netherlands will host it’s first international forum; “Rotterdam North Sea Forum ’09. Season 08/09 promises to be a lively and renovated year.
