National Conference 2010
The ‘National Selection Conference 2010′ of EYP the Netherlands was held in Amsterdam from the 12th till the 14th of February and was be organised by Rosa Douw. The delegations selected at the preliminary rounds in Utrecht, Wageningen and Amsterdam, experienced a weekend of Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly (GA).
The Berlage Lyceum was our host for the weekend and, as a tradition of EYP the Netherlands, the General Assembly was held in Amsterdam City Hall ‘Stopera’.
With great honour we welcomed Marietje Schaake, Member of the European Parliament (D66), as a guestspeaker to open General Assembly. More information.
The session president was Fredrik Bauer from Sweden.
During the preliminary rounds in Utrecht, Wageningen and Amsterdam the following schools were selected for participation in the National Conference Amsterdam 2010:
- Stanislas College (Delft)
- Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen
- Dr. Knippenbergcollege (Helmond)
- Marnix College (Ede)
- Christelijk Lyceum Zeist
- St. Ignatiusgymnasium (Amsterdam)
- Mencia de Mendoza Lyceum (Breda)
- Barlaeus Gymnasium (Amsterdam)
- Berlage Lyceum (Amsterdam)
At the conference, Christelijk Lyceum Zeist was selected for the International Session in Tromsö, Norway (April 2010) and Stanislas College was selected for Lviv, Ukraine (October 2010). Furthermore several delegations were selected to go to international fora. For a complete overview, click here.
To make each session a success EYP the Netherlands relies on the dedication of group of volunteers from all over Europe.
